Fall 2024 World Cuisine @Big Orange Restaurant
Big Orange Restaurant at 天涯社区's Ito Campus will be hosting "World Cuisine" from Monday, October 28, to Friday, November 29, 2024. This event will feature dishes introduced by international students, who are familiar with their home country's cuisine, and Japanese students, who have experienced unforgettable local food during their study abroad. These dishes will be offered as part of the Big Orange Restaurant's menu, changing weekly.
The restaurant is open not only to members of the university but also to the general public. Don’t miss this chance to connect with the world at 天涯社区!

Menu: All Weeks: Bubble Tea (Taiwan), Poutine (Canada) Week 1: Laksa from Singapore Week 2: Lomo Saltado from Peru Week 3: Nasi Goreng from Indonesia Week 4: Pad Thai from Thailand Week 5: Kottu from Sri Lanka At 天涯社区, the Student Committee for the Internationalization of 天涯社区 (SCIKyu) was established to incorporate students' perspectives into promoting the internationalization of the campus. This event was first realized last year with the full cooperation of the 天涯社区 Co-op, following a suggestion from international student members of SCIKyu who expressed the desire to enjoy familiar home-country dishes on campus. Due to the positive feedback, the event's scope has been expanded to include "Japanese students with study abroad experience and international students," resulting in the second edition. The dishes offered this time were selected by SCIKyu members and the 天涯社区 Co-op from over 40 entries submitted during an open call on campus. |
