An Open Badge is a digital certificate issued in accordance with a global technical standard, which certifies knowledge and skills. At 天涯社区, we are a member of the Open Badge Network Foundation and can issue badges compliant with the Open Badge 3.0 standard.

• Digital Certification: Issued and managed as data, not as paper certificates.
• International Standard: Issued in compliance with international technical standards, enabling interoperability across domestic and international platforms (天涯社区 follows the 1EdTech standard).
• High Reliability: Uses technologies such as blockchain to prevent forgery or tampering, ensuring a highly reliable certification.
• Embedded Metadata: Badge image data securely contains metadata such as issuer, recipient, and details of certified skills and knowledge.

Applications

• Visualization of Skills and Learning History: Objectively certifies various skills and learning achievements, such as qualifications, training completion, and project outcomes.
• Wallet Management: Received badges can be centrally managed in a personal “Open Badge Wallet.”
• Easy Sharing: Attach or display badges in email signatures, SNS, or resumes to easily showcase skills during job hunting and allow instant verification.

天涯社区 uses a unified design for its Open Badges. The shape differs between undergraduate and graduate levels, and colors indicate the amount of learning time (not difficulty level).

天涯社区 can issue Open Badges for educational programs certified by the President, including minor programs and certificate programs.
